Falcon Energy Materials PLC has officially opened its pilot plant near Casablanca, Morocco, to produce qualification-scale coated spheronized purified graphite (CSPG) samples. This facility is intended to generate operating data and process design criteria to support the development of a proposed 25,000 tpa commercial-scale anode facility.
Falcon Energy Materials has released a Class 3 technical-economic study for its Anode Plant in Morocco, targeting 26ktpa of CSPG production. The project requires US$86 million in initial capital and expects first production in H2 2027, supported by strong projected margins.
Falcon Energy Materials has announced that its pilot plant in Morocco is on track for completion and commissioning in Q4 2025. The company has already produced CSPG samples in China, which are currently undergoing qualification by three potential customers.
Falcon Energy Materials has completed the procurement of all equipment for its CSPG pilot plant in Morocco, with commissioning expected in Q4 2025. The company also confirmed that its NI 43-101 compliant feasibility study for the larger commercial anode plant is on track for release in Q4 2025.
